We developed this guide to help our students put their best foot forward when they begin their academic program as well as when they launch their graphic design/digital design career.

The Graphic Design Career Paths Student Guide includes the following sections:
  • Essentials Checklist - a list of the key ingredients for a successful start in your academic program.
  • Part 1: Career Paths - provides an overview of the six different types of graphic designers.
  • Part 2: Choosing a Career Path - includes information and interactive content to help you identify clear academic and career objectives.
  • Part 3: Academic Options - provides an overview of our graphic design/digital design programs and information on how program outcomes align with career options.
  • Part 4: The Path to Success - features 10 tips for successfully achieving the skill levels necessary to develop a competitive portfolio.
  • Part 5: Helpful Resources - includes resources and points of contact for general questions, software support, portfolio support and career/department specific support.
