Herman miller blocks as elevations
« on: April 27, 2014, 12:43:20 pm »
I am having trouble finding furniture selections from other sources, herman miller for instance.  when I select a furniture piece it only gives me elevations of the furniture through revit.  The CAD file is a plan view.  I was instructed that some of the furniture is "nested" I have no idea what this means or how I am suppose to find elevated images of the furniture piece vs. the plan view.
Any suggestions? ???

Theresa,

Have you checked here for the Herman Miller CAD blocks?

http://www.hermanmiller.com/content/hermanmiller/northamerica/en_us/home/design-resources/3d-models-revit/autocad-symbols/download-cad-pack.html

You download the catalog and then it does provide the blocks.

You may also like http://www.arcat.com/  which has a variety of companies, specifications, and for the manufacturers that provide them the CAD drawings.

Nesting refers to a way the block is stored.  You can read more about nesting here:

Let me know if this does not help you!  I think you will find the websites helpful.
