How can I create a new layer with the same properties as another layer already created?

Hi-
This is fairly easy. What you should do is go to the layer properties manager, and choose the layer you want to duplicate. Then either click the box at the top for a new layer, or right click and choose  new. Give the new layer a name and then it will have the same properties as the layer that you first chose.
Let me know if this helps or works for you.
Thanks!
Nina

Hi,
I want to know if I can lock all my layers and line weights that apply to the ID Department Standards into the AutoCAD program it's self so that any model page I create all the standards will be in. Because right now I have done all my layers to code but it is locked on a blank drawing page so I have to start with that blank page to have everything.

I recommend creating a template drawing that you can use to create your drawing each time you start.  Please see attached for a step by step on how to do that, and post again if you still have questions.
