Design Center & Blocks
« on: June 18, 2014, 08:02:18 pm »
When I first started using AutoCAD I could get all the blocks that were given and now I can't get any and when I make blocks they do not show up at all for me to add them to my floor plans.  I have tried everything to fix it and have provided a screenshot to show what I am seeing.  What do I need to do to fix this problem.

Hi Licia09,
Thank you for your questions!  To see the Design Center blocks, you will need to navigate to the correct folder.  Sometimes the folder you need is buried in the new version of AutoCAD. If you go to the folder browser on the left, and go to AutoCAD 2014, then choose Sample ---> en-us ---> Design Center, you should see the options you need.

It is there it is just not in a very easy to find place. This video will also show you: http://www.screencast.com/t/VSWJI4jg

Regarding seeing your own blocks, I need a bit more detail.  Are you inserting these into your drawing, and then not seeing them?  Could you attach your file, so I could take a look?

Thanks!
Sheila
