How to create a TITLE BLOCK in AutoCad
« on: December 05, 2014, 03:24:13 am »
Hello,

I need help creating a title block in AutoCad. I tried downloading it from a website but did not know how to save it. It will always open in a new drawing instead of the current one I was working on. Please help me find a way to create one directly in AutoCad; so that I would be able to create a block out of it.

The following are some brief tutorials on how to create a title block.  I also included a demo on setting up the text styles because they are used in the title block demo.  Hopefully this helps!

Also, if it is acceptable to your instructor that you use one that is downloaded not created by you, then you should be able to open the downloaded file and save it as a separate DWG file. You can then insert this into your own drawing as a block.
And just like in Microsoft applications, Copy/Clip/Paste works in the newer CAD versions.
You really need to confirm with the instructor though if that is allowed.
Hope this helps.
