Perspective drawing!

I have attached my assignment for week 3.  I have had trouble with perspective drawing, making everything look realistic, and well everything.  ??? Anything anyone can help out with?

The first part of drawing a successful one-point perspective is using a vanishing point for one side while the other side of the object being drawn is perfectly horizontal. The following link has an interesting image, move your mouse over the image and you will see how the vanishing point ties in with each of the elements in the illustration:
