I am reading a memoir for my english class and i need to know how to cite a specific sentence in this memoir (MLA Style). I see other students doing this. At the end of the quoted sentence they include a number.. ie, (602) or some other number in ( ).. how are they getting these numbers? Please help!!

Hello!

I'm glad to help. The number that they are including is the page number from which the quotation came. If you send along the specific sentence and source, then I can help you to cite it specifically. Also check out the sample MLA essay in the MLA section in the meantime! Talk to you soon  :).

Sincerely,

Kate
